WHAT INFORMATION DO I NEED WHEN I CALL A BAIL BOND COMPANY?
We can get all bail information for you quickly, it is helpful if you have some of the following information:
•    Name of person arrested ( full legal name)
•    Where the person was arrested
•    Date of birth
•    Booking Number

With this information, we can get all information from the jail, including charges, bail amount, and court date. Once we agree on bail terms, we can get the bond posted immediately and start the release process. The process can take several hours, its dependent on how fast the jail can process the bond. Once we post the bond, it is out of our hand when the arrestee will be released. Again, it’s dependent on the jail.

We service all jails, counties, and cities. We have field agents throughout California that can have the bond posted immediately once approved.

WHAT IS BAIL?
When someone is arrested, a bail amount is set for that particular crime. In San Bernardino County, the Superior Judges set bail amounts for each criminal crime. So when you go to jail, the amount is already set. There are a couple of ways a person can be bailed out:

•    You have the right to pay the full amount of the bail to the jail directly without having to go through a bail bonds company. For example, if the bail amount is $5,000.00, you will be expected to pay the jail the full $5,000.00 cash. The full amount will be returned to you when the case is over, although it does take some time to get it back from the court.
•    You can elect to hire a bail bond company, the standard rate is 10%, Access Bail Bonds offer a 20% Discount, this is called our 8% bail. So for example, if the bail is set at $5,000.00, you would pay Access Bail Bonds $400.00, for the post of the bond. This is our fee for posting the bond with the jail. This is nonrefundable, once the defendant walks out of the jail. Our bonds our good for 2 years, while other companies may only be good for one year.

BENEFITS WHEN USING A BAIL BOND COMPANY
•    You won’t have to wait months for your money to get returned to you. Sometimes bail can be very high and most people don’t have that kind of money readily available, and most people do not want their money tied up for several months in case they may need it for an emergency.
•    You won’t run the risk of using that money for the fines or restitution if the defendant cannot afford to pay for the amount owed.
•    Access Bail Bonds are good for 2 years, while you are fighting your case. Most bail bond company’s bonds are only good for 1 year. Which means you will have to pay your bail premium in full again after one year.

DISCOUNTS
Access Bail Bonds offers a 20% discount, below are some of the conditions that may apply:

DO I GET MY MONEY BACK ONCE THE CASE IS OVER?
No, the fee you paid to the bail bond company is for the bail bond service fee. When the bail bond company post the bail bond to get your loved one out of jail, they are taking the risk. It’s the bail bond company’s responsibility for the full amount of the bond. So if the defendant decides not to go to court, it’s the bail bonds responsibility to get the defendant back to court. If the bail bond company cannot find the defendant within a certain amount of time, they are responsible to pay the court for the full amount of the bond.

WHAT IS COLLATERAL
Collateral is something of value, and is generally used for high risk bonds or bonds that the amount has been set extremely high. We find that most of our customers do not need collateral, and typically can just sign. We call this a signature bond, not collateral needed. We very seldom ask for collateral, it’s usually not necessary.

IF COLLATERAL USED, DO I GET IT BACK?
Yes, the defendant must attend all court dates and does not violate the judge’s orders in any way. Once the case is complete and the defendant gets sentenced, the court will exonerate our bail bond. The court will send the bail bond company their bond back, and then we will be able to return your collateral.
