ABOUT BANNING BAIL BONDS: Banning is a city in the Riverside County in California. It is located in the San Gorgonio
Pass, also known as the Banning Pass. Banning has a western neighbor called the city of Beaumont, which shares regional
and geographic features. Banning is about 80 miles east of downtown Los Angeles and about 30 miles west of Palm
Springs. All three cities are connected by the 10 freeway and the railroad system.

HISTORY: In the mid-19th century, the Cahuilla people inhabited Banning. In 1824, Banning became part of the Mission
San Gabriel Archangel, and then the Rancho San Gorgonio. In 1863, a smallpox epidemic further diminished the Cahuilla.
The first stagecoach line came through in 1862, and the railroad followed in 1876. Banning borders the Morongo Indian
Reservation, home of the Morongo Band of Cahuilla (Mission) Indians. Prior to the name Banning, the settlement was called
“Moore City”. Ransom B. Moore operated a large cattle ranch in the area of San Gorgonio Mountains from the late 1850s to
the early 1980s.

SAFTEY: Banning has its own police force it incorporated in 1913. Banning police covers 2 square miles and currently has a
population of approximately 29,000 residents. The Banning Police Department is committed to serve with honor and protect
all citizens of our community. Banning Police Department is forced on public trust and providing safe environment for all.

The Banning Police Department consist of 29 sworn personnel and 12 classified personnel. The Police Department offers a
variety of services such as: Field Patrol, Detective Bureau, Emergency Tactical Unit, Narcotics Task Force, Gang Task Force,
Narcotics K-9, Motors, School Resource Officer, Field Training Officer, and Reserve Police Officer.

HOW LONG IS THE BAIL BOND PROCESS: When a person is arrested in Banning, they are taken to the Banning County
Sheriff’s Department and booked in. The booking process can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, it includes booking
applications, finger printing, photo taken, and warrant check. They run a warrant to make sure you do not have any out of
county or out of state warrants or any holds from any courts. After the process is completed, a bail amount is set, and bail
