CHINO HILLS BOOKING PROCESS: When someone is arrested in Chino Hills they are taken to the Sheriff’s Department. There they will be booked including, finger prints, photo taken, and warrant check ran to see if there are any outstanding warrants for your arrests locally, and out of state. The Spanish originally founded the Mission San Gabriel in 1771, and the land was extensively used for grazing mission cattle. Even after the State of Mexico ceded California in 1848, the land was still used for grazing. In 1910 the land was sold to Richard Gird, he is the founder of the subdivision of Chino, Carbon Canyon Mineral Springs which is called the Sleepy Hollow region of the new Los Serranos County Club, located in Chino Hills.
