THING TO KNOW ABOUT VICTORVILLE
Victorville is located in the Victor Valley area of the San Bernardino County. Its population as of 2010 was 115,903 and is known as the High Desert “Lane Crossing”. The Lane’s Crossing was provided for shelter to people crossing the San Bernardino Desert and sold supplies to the miners. . Lane was a Captain was a Mexican American War veteran who had suffered from malaria during the war.

In 1926, the U.S route 66 highway was begun and it passed through Victorville. Today is known as Seventh Street and continues across Interstate 15 and turns into Palmdale road. It travels along through the Old Town of Victorville.

The Victorville Army airfield was built in 1941, this airfield was known as the George Air Force Base, the U.S. Air force was established in October 1947.

The city of Victorville was officially incorporated by the State of California on September 21, 1962.

In 2003, the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museums were close to bankruptcy and moved to Branson, Missouri, to be restored and kept alive.
