REDLANDS JAIL PROCESS
When a person is arrested and taken into custody, they will be taken to the San Bernardino County Jail, located off of Third
Street in the city of San Bernardino. They arrestee will be booked, photo taken, finger printed and warrant check ran. The
warrant check is nationwide, includes all states, counties and cities. Once the booking process is finished, we will be able to
get the bail amount, charges, and new court date. Once we agree on the bail costs and procedure, we can have the bond
posted immediately. Once the bond is posted it can take several hours for the release of the arrestee , this is dependent on
how fast the jail can process the bond. It is out of our hands, although we do keep in touch with the family members and
the jail through the release process to make sure for a timely release time.

HISTORY OF REDLANDS: Redlands was originally part of the Morongo and Agus Caliente strives of Cahuilla people. In the
1970’s the Catholic influence was introduced to the people and the dominion of the Spanish crown. In 1842 the Lugo
family bought the Rancho San Bernardino Mexican land grant and this became the first fixed settler civilization in the area.
The first settler was a sheep herder and the first school teacher to arrive settle in this area was in 1874, shortly followed by
the town’s first negro settler, Israel Beal.
